Donatella Versace & Nicki Minaj

To celebrate their collaborative collection, H&M and Versace transformed NYC’s Pier 57 into “Versace Hall.” The evening-part concert, part runway show- was an all around party! Many celebrities were in attendance including Jennifer Hudson, Uma Thurman, and Blake Lively. Designers Alexander Wang and Joseph Altuzarra came out along with a number of editors and stylists.

The Rock ‘n Roll inspired runway show was walked by top models such as Natasha Poly, all donning black, leather do-rags. Studded leather, fur, and Versace’s signature prints were seen throughout the collection. Following the runway show, a wall was lifted, revealing the concert’s  stage. Nicki Minaj and Prince rocked the house with Prince ending his set with his hit “Purple Rain.”

Guests had access to a pop-up shop, where they could purchase items from the collection before it hits stores November 19th. Pics from the event below!

Thought the high-low collaboration trend was a thing of the past? Well, think again! Italian fashion house Missoni recently debuted their collaborative collection with discount retailer Target. The collection-available in stores September 13th-runs the gamut from apparel(women’s, men’s, kid’s) to housewares to bicycles, and is very Missoni! The patterns and zigzagged fabrics that the brand has become known for are heavily utilized throughout. Take a peek at a few items below:

***Update: This video was recently released. The brand’s creative director Margherita Missoni talks about the company’s history and how it influenced the 400-piece Target collection.

Lately it seems like a new high-low collaboration is announced every day! The latest to hit the fashion world is a partnership between Italian fashion house Valentino and retailer GAP. The kicker: there are no plans for a US release. The items are available in select cities throughout Europe including Rome, Milan, Paris and GAP’s flagship store in London.

Valentino created a capsule collection, composed of seven items-a hooded parka, cropped jacket, cargo pants, ruffle jacket, leather skirt, t-shirt, and hoodie.  Unlike the bold palette of the recently released Lanvin for H&M pieces, the Valentino for GAP collection sticks to simple colors (olive, black). I’m not feeling it, but if you American girls have to get your hands on the line, your best bet is to shop it on eBay. A few more shots below:
